~~would've though of a better title but seaweed brain seemed to be the only one that fit because he's so toony idek..~~

Was experimenting with colours and found that i just LOVED blue and orange together, so here's Percy Jackson.
Was also messing around trying to come up with a really cartoony style. I like this one but might try to change it a bit in future because i still think it's not toony enough. idk... what do you guys think?

Just finished "The Son of Neptune" and LOVING these books and ALL the characters are just amazing and omg need to draw them all even though i have so much school work and other things i should be doing... just GAH, wish i had read these books sooner.

Oh my GODS HE LOOKS SO PERFECT?!!? *can't...breathe*

Like, I'm so digging your colouring here! It's so warm and painterly, and you did them most beautiful job of rendering everything. I wish I could do something like this, it has a hint of traditional technique to it that's just so organic and wonderful. I love how the colours really pop - all Riordan's characters are very colourful in both a physical and metaphorical sense to me so your style just... needs to be on the future book covers! Haha

Also... his eyes! THAT SHADE OF GREEN UNF. They're just bursting with personality, it's insane. Love them.
But I think to me what stands out most is how you caught his character with all the tiny little details. Like, the energy of the lines you used overall looks very "kelpy", in a totally good way! It's almost like a little hidden motif of his parentage, if you get me? I don't know if that feel was intentional but if it was I THINK IT'S REALLY RAD and I can see the seaweed texture in his fringe and lashes and eyebrows and it's just like gdi andy why can't you think of doing something as cool as that?!!? Hahaa. I'd love to see how you portray some of the other characters too in future like this, because this has got to be one of my favourite percys ever.
